Dean and their mom are making grilled sandwiches in the kitchen. Dean picks up a container of mayonnaise and says: "What's the date on this?" Dean's mom looks at the container and says: "2008...", then she gets a concerned look on her face and continues: "April...10th."

Dean is standing a the kitchen sink and 5:00 am, holding a bowl of food in one hand and a spoon in the other. They look down at the bowl of food and think: "Why did I just push all the food to one side?" Then they look at the spoon and think: "and where did I get this spoon?"

Dean, aka Rita, is in a car with their mom. A bug hits the windshield and splatters. Dean says to their mom: "I wonder how many bugs we've killed in our history of traveling." Their mom replies: "most of them."

Dean, their dad, and their brother Jordan are all carrying water bottles at a tennis court. Dean's dad squints at his water bottle and says: "Do either of yours have floaties?" Dean and Jordan both answer: "No..." Jordan then says: "They probably came from the bottle, 'cause it kinda stank..." There is a note at the top of the comic page that says: "Jordan filled the water bottles."
